Schmendrick is Yiddish for a "pipsqueak" or "nonentity".
Does not mean "a stupid person."
En gros, Un Schmendrick est un grincement de tuyau, une nullité, mais pas dans le sens de stupide, on pourrait le traduire par "insignifiant, insecte, goutte d'eau, grain de poussière, quelque chose qui ne compte pas etc..."
Un "mensch" est une "bonne personne, quelqu'un de bien "
